Nerva Puck , a trans artist from Spain, is one of Wikimetal Groover platform .
Also known as Nathaniel Prime , the musician recently released the music video for the single "Libertine Dreams," which talks about the experience of ending a relationship and wondering "when will the next one come?". The artist classifies the song as queer alternative metal – full of energy but with several emotional nuances that show his passion for the subject.
“Libertine Dreams” was first written as an acoustic ballad when Nathaniel was 17 years old. 10 years later, the multi-instrumentalist revised the piece into what it is today.
The track is the third from the album Discompose (2023), which explores themes such as relationships, gender dysphoria, masculinity, and femininity. Prime combines storytelling with her love for alternative rock and metal, blending the "toughness" and masculinity often associated with these genres with
feminine undertones. This artistic juxtaposition reflects her experience of gender, both physically and emotionally. Prime extends this duality visually in her videos, contrasting masculine energy with female protagonists and the elegance of contemporary dance.
Prime is a trans man who has been writing and playing music since he was 13 years old. In “Libertine Dreams” you can see his passion for art, be it music or dance. This is a track not to be missed if you are a fan of alternative metal!
