Nergal 's dark folk project , Me and That Man , has released a Christmas song. "Burning Churches" confronts cases of sexual abuse in the Church.
Made using animation, the music video tells the story of a boy who was abused by a priest. He becomes a satanic anti-hero who sets fire to a church. However, the melody contrasts with the theme and features Mat McNerney .
“If someone had told me that one day I would release a Christmas song, I would have burst out laughing. Hell has frozen over, and I present to you 'Burning Churches',” said Nergal.
