The musician spoke about his retirement

Neil Young spoke with Rolling Stone about the farewell tours that have recently become popular among artists.

"When I retire, people will know because I'll be dead ," he said in response to tours that artists like Elton John, Ozzy Osbourne, and Slayer are planning.

"I'm not going to say 'I'm not going back on stage anymore.' What nonsense is that? I can play when I want, and when I don't want to, I don't play."

The musician also spoke about his two bands, Promise of the Real and Crazy Horse, “they are great and can play anything. They accompany me in everything (…) But now I feel it’s not the time to tour, my body is telling me something and I’m listening.”

It was recently announced that Neil Young will be part of a Netflix original film, Paradox , and will also be responsible for the soundtrack. The film will be released on March 23rd.
