After having his catalog removed from Spotify , Neil Young became a highlight on the Apple Music and Tidal .

On Wednesday the 26th, Twitter account posted a reminder to subscribers that "it's always a good idea to play Neil Young" and released a playlist on the platform featuring essential tracks from the musician's discography.

The streaming service TIDAL didn't lag behind and noticed an increase in new users searching for Neil Young's music. Also via Twitter, the platform commented on a subscriber's post who found Young's playlist among the most accessed at the moment. "This is great for us," they wrote.

Neil Young's catalog was removed from Spotify after the musician gave the platform an ultimatum due to the presence of an exclusive podcast on the streaming network that spreads denialist and anti-vaccine opinions. The Joe Rogan Experience is the most listened-to podcast in the United States and one of the world's leading podcasts in terms of audience.

“I want you to tell Spotify immediately, today, that I want all my music removed from the platform,” Neil Young wrote in an open letter. “They can have [Joe] Rogan or Young. Not both.”

With Spotify's decision to remove his content from the platform, Young suffered a loss equivalent to 60% of his total streams, but thanked his record label , Warner , for supporting his decision and understanding his motivations.
