The drum kit of one of the greatest musicians of all time must be, at the very least, blessed, and such an important instrument deserves a corresponding price. That's why the drum kit that belonged to Neil Peart in the early 70s will be auctioned for at least $80,000 and is estimated to reach up to $120,000.

The Slingerland was used by the artist on tours from 1974 to 1977. It includes two 22″ bass drums with chrome plating, a large silver Rush logo, and Neil Peart's own name, making the kit even more special.

According to the Bonhams auction site, which handled the sale, Peart purchased the kit in late July/early August 1974 from Long & McQuade in Toronto. It was stored away in 1977 and later donated by Peart to a Modern Drummer in 1987. The set was awarded to drummer Mark Feldman , who eventually sold it to the current owner.
