In November, we reported here that the drum kit Neil Peart used in the early 70s went up for auction. The instrument was recently auctioned in the United States for US$500,000, approximately R$2.5 million.
Slingerland brand drum kit was used on albums such as Fly By Night (1975) , Caress of Steel (1975) and the classic 2112 (1976). According to the official auction website , the instrument was purchased by the Rush in late July or early August 1974 in Toronto and was stored in a warehouse in 1977.
Ten years later, in October 1987, the drum kit served as a prize for Mark Feldman in a drumming competition, and he sold it to the current owner, who recently put the rarity up for auction.
