British politician Ed Miliband, known for being a former leader of the Labour Party, went viral last week with a video in which he asked Napalm Death vocalist Mark "Barney" Greenway to teach him how to sing death metal.
The two were chatting during a radio show after Miliband posted on Twitter revealing that he is a fan of the band: "I've been a groupie for a long time, I've been to the shows, I have the t-shirts and now it's my chance to meet Napalm Death in person .
Introducing the vocalist on the radio, the politician described the band: “This isn’t the Heavy Metal you might know as Iron Maiden. This is heavier than heavy .” Then, asking Greenway to teach him, Miliband said: “I’m going to put my career at risk now, if it’s not already completely over, and you’re going to help me sing some Extreme Metal.”
According to the Metro newspaper, sales of Napalm Death increased by 228% after the interview.
