grindcore and death metal band Napalm Death has announced that it will end its release hiatus by revealing that it will release a new track.
“Logic Ravaged By Brute Force” will be released on seven-inch vinyl by Century Media alongside a cover of Sonic Youth .” This new release comes five years after their fifth studio album, Apex Predator – Easy Meat , and four years after their hiatus.
Speaking about the choice of cover, vocalist Barney Greenway said: “We had a diverse crop of new songs with many different styles. So, naturally, we moved into a single territory and chose 'Logic Ravaged By Brute Force'. It's the coldness and desperation of the chords and the vocals that drives it. And then, seeing how Sonic Youth crushes chords like few others, the cover of 'White Kross' seemed to be something more than a cover, but an epic and thunderous wall of sound.”
The material is already available for pre-order on the Century Media and features a limited edition of only 100 copies on yellow vinyl. The black and transparent blue will be sold on the Nuclear Blast website.
