Nancy Wilson , from Heart , released a tribute to the late Eddie Van Halen . "4 Edward" will be featured on her first solo studio album, You And Me , scheduled for release on May 7th.

The tribute is an instrumental song that reflects on the moment when Nancy gave Eddie a guitar as a gift, marking the musician's first guitar playing. The track, recorded by Nancy on an acoustic guitar, is a beautiful tribute to her friend.

“There’s a story that I was the first person to give him a guitar. When I was on tour with them [ Van Halen ] in the 80s, I said to him, ‘Why don’t you play guitar anymore?’ Then he replied, ‘I don’t have a guitar.’ So I said, ‘What do you mean you don’t have a guitar?’ So I went to the case, took out an instrument, and gave it to him,” Wilson recalled.

“The next morning at the hotel, he called my room and played a beautiful piece of guitar for me. I was so moved and it was so beautiful, it was one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard. So, I tried to return the favor by making a beautiful tribute to him,” the guitarist concluded.
