The band Myrath will participate in the FIFA Fan Fest of the 2022 World Cup. The event takes place at Al Bidda Park in Doha during the 29 days of the competition, which began on the 20th and runs until December 18th. The group's performance is scheduled for December 9th.
The official FIFA is free and brings together not only football but also gastronomy, music, games and lots of entertainment. Besides the host city in Qatar, other cities around the world will host the Fan Fest . These are: Dubai, Seoul, London, Mexico City, São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. In Brazil, the events will take place, respectively, in Vale do Anhangabaú and on Copacabana Beach.
In addition to their performance at Fan Fest, Myrath is preparing for a unique show in São Paulo, at Carioca Club Pinheiros , on the May 1st holiday. Brazilian bands Ego Absence and Skaly Face will be opening for them. The group is promoting their fifth and most recent album, Shehili (2019), which was released in Brazil by Shinigami Records, a national independent rock and heavy metal label. The Latin American tour is being produced by Dark Dimensions. Tickets can be purchased on the Clube do Ingresso .
About Myrath
Myrath, meaning "legacy" in Arabic, is a band from Tunisia that started in 2001. Until 2006, however, they used the name X-Tazy. Their sound is a mix of progressive metal with traditional Arabic music, being considered a "blazing desert metal".
The band consists of bassist Anis Jouini , guitarist Malek Ben Arbia , vocalist Zaher Zorgati , and drummer Morgan Berthet . In July, keyboardist Elyes Bouchoucha announced his departure from the group, and information about a replacement has not yet been released.
