Myles Kennedy released last Tuesday, the 30th, the second single, “Nothing More To Gain” from his third studio album The Art of Letting Go (2024, via Napalm Records).
Known for his work with Alter Bridge and Slash Featuring Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators , the latter of whom were in Brazil earlier this year , Kennedy is accompanied by Tim Tournier (bass) and Zia Uddin (drums) on their third album of original material.
In a recent interview with radio station I-Rock 93.5 , Myles commented on the themes addressed in this project (via Blabbermouth ): “The first two albums were kind of concept albums. The first, Year Of The Tiger from 2018, was an album that dealt with the loss of my father when I was a child. And then the second album, The Ides Of March from 2021, was dealing with the state of the world about three years ago. But with this album, I wanted it to be a collection of songs with a narrative that changed from song to song.”
