Myles Kennedy releases animated video for new single “Get Along”

The song opens the artist's second solo album, 'The Ides of March'

On Tuesday, the 13th, Myles Kennedy released the official video for the track "Get Along," which opens his second solo album, The Ides of March , to be released on May 14th.

The music video is an animation based on an idea created by Kennedy himself and developed by director and animator Ollie Jones in partnership with fellow animators Jake Lava and Sam Clark . The main theme revolves around how industrialization affects the animal kingdom, telling the story of a group of animals that unite to protect their habitat.

In November, Myles Kennedy spoke with Kylie Olsson about his second album, The Ides Of March . According to the Blabbermouth , Kennedy reported that he realized he “basically made a rock album” and that he feels the project is a continuation of the style established on his debut album, Year Of The Tiger. “It has a good amount of acoustic instrumentation and quite a bit of Hawaiian guitar. I love the Hawaiian guitar; I love the way you can make it ‘cry’ – it has a really good vocal quality. But then I realized there’s a lot of guitar and a lot more solos – you know, geeky guitar stuff that I love.”
