After announcing the release of his second solo album, The Ides Of March , which arrives on May 14th via Napalm Records , Myles Kennedy took the opportunity to release the first preview of the project, "In Stride". Now, the song arrives in a live version complete with a video of the performance recorded at The Fox.
“The lyrics paint a picture of a survivor preparing for an impending zombie apocalypse,” Kennedy says of the track. “It was inspired by the first wave of prohibitions, as everyone was buying large quantities of toilet paper and supplies. I started wondering if it would be wise to try to gain some perspective and not overreact… to stay calm and carry on.”
