The session took place in 2008
Myles Kennedy, frontman of Alter Bridge, spoke with Eddie Trunk and revealed that he hopes there are no recordings of his rehearsal with members of Led Zeppelin.
The rehearsal took place in 2008 when Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones were looking for a way to keep their jobs in Led Zeppelin after their incredible performance at the O2 Arena in London a year earlier.
In the interview, Kennedy reveals that no video was recorded during the meeting, but he has heard from numerous sources that audio files exist somewhere.
He confesses that he prefers to keep the encounter out of the public eye, “I was very sick (…) And I remember it took my voice a few days to get back to normal, so I hope there’s no recording of that! [laughs].”
In an earlier interview with That Metal Show, Kennedy said he would remember that day for the rest of his life, “We played 'The Rain Song,' which is probably my favorite Led Zeppelin song, 'No Quarter,' and 'Kashmir.' It was a lot of fun!”
Alter Bridge has just finished a tour and now the members will focus on their solo projects, such as Myles Kennedy and the release of his solo album Year Of The Tiger , which will take place on March 9th via Napalm Records.
