“Save Defiance”, a collaboration between Myles Kennedy and Mark Morton, will be featured on Anesthetic.
Mark Morton , guitarist for Lamb Of God , will release the album Anesthetic on March 1st. The third single, “Save Defiance,” features vocals by Myles Kennedy of Alter Bridge .
Mark spoke to Kerrang! about “Save Defiance.” “Myles Kennedy is a super talented musician. I don’t think people realize what a great guitarist he is, in addition to having that wonderful voice. He was very nice and professional throughout the whole process. It was very easy to work with him. He’s another artist who instantly came to mind when we were thinking about which singers we wanted to work with.”
Myles wrote the lyrics for the song. “He would ask me what I wanted. I just had to say, ‘Do whatever you want. That’s why we wanted you on the song.’ That’s what I love about collaborating with people musically.”
Other singers who participated in Anesthetic were Chester Bennington , Randy Blythe, Jacoby Shaddix, Alissa White-Gluz, and Josh Todd . Musically, the album features David Ellefson, Roy Mayorga , and others.
