My Chemical Romance surprised fans by releasing "The Foundations of Decay" this Thursday, the 12th, their first new song in 8 years.

The band is about to embark on a comeback tour that was originally scheduled for 2020 but was postponed due to the pandemic.

My Chemical Romance's last release of new material was in 2014, with the greatest hits compilation May Death Never Stop You , which included the new track "Fake Your Death".

“The Foundations of Decay” is a somber song, with considerable depth and, of course, a lot of emotion coming from Gerard Way . Listen now:
