The American band, My Chemical Romance, has announced its highly anticipated return to Brazil , with a single show in February 2026.

An icon of alternative rock and the emo movement of the 2000s, the band included the country in its Latin American tour. However, the ticket prices caught the attention of the public, who were eager given the rumors of the band's arrival in Brazil.

With prices ranging from R$ 197.50 to R$ 895.00, something else caught the attention of fans since last Wednesday, the 25th, when the first stage of Santander's pre-sale began.

In addition to the ticket price, the public was surprised by a series of additional charges, through fees that were subdivided into: service fee, processing fee, and administration fee.

Faced with this surprise, several fans complained about the number of additional fees. Eventim, the event's official ticketing company, published an explanatory note regarding each of the fees.

However, the justification did not convince the public, who expressed considerable indignation on social media.

Is a processing fee charged only for the My Chemical Romance show?

According to José Norberto Flesch , charging a processing fee is unprecedented at Eventim. The box office first charged it for the Planet Hemp and now for the My Chemical Romance concert.

According to the statement released by the box office, the processing fee is to ensure the security of consumer data. However, this justification sparked outrage among fans, who questioned whether this function was included in the already charged service fee.

Given this reality, fans who wish to secure their place at the show should prepare financially and carefully monitor the pre-sale dates and times, as well as official information from the production company.

High demand is expected, which should keep prices high, despite popular appeals to reduce the additional fees charged.
