Muzak Regis Tadeu 's post-punk band , released a new music video last Friday, the 4th, to promote the song "O Que Esperar" (What to Expect). The song is the third single from the Retro Espectro , which revisits compositions created by the band in the 1980s.

Formed by Osmar Buono (vocals and bass), Nivaldo Campopiano (guitars) and Regis Tadeu (drums), the band Muzak was formed in 1984 and released only one album, the self-titled one in 1986. After many years on hiatus, the trio resumed activities in 2019.

The song "O Que Esperar" was recorded at Estúdio Transamérica (São Paulo) in early 1987 as part of sessions for the band's second studio album, but the release never materialized.

According to the band, the song's lyrics "deal with those moments in life when it's necessary to let go of something or someone in order to move forward," while the music video "accentuates the urban aspect of the landscape and life in the metropolis, inhabited by a contagious loneliness."

In an interview with PodihhCast (transcribed by Wikimetal ), Regis Tadeu spoke about the repercussions of his work with Muzak due to his work as a music critic. “There’s this thing of ‘Oh, every critic is a frustrated musician, every critic wants to have a band.’ No, man. I’m not a frustrated musician and I have a band,” he said. “Obviously, I’m not afraid to put myself out there. And when the album comes out, there will be a lot of people who will criticize it without even listening to it, they’ll criticize it [because of] Regis, the critic, who is a drummer.”

Before “O Que Esperar”, the band Muzak had already released the singles “Porco Espinho” and “Vidas Imortais” , also available trio's Spotify
