Guitarist is tired of solos

In an interview on the program “Metalhead To Head”, guitarist Dave Mustaine talked about the differences between playing guitar in Metallica and Megadeth. Mustaine said that since leaving Metallica, he hasn't been very enthusiastic about playing guitar solos.

“When I played in Metallica, I used to do solos. When I left, I completely reevaluated my playing style. I played guitar because I loved playing, and I started playing because I was very angry,” the vocalist said.

Mustaine explained that he got tired of solos: “For me, there are many solos that people do that are full of technique, they are very beautiful to watch, but after a while it's 'okay, that's enough!'. For me, David Gilmour manages to do much more with just one note than most musicians do with these huge solos .
