Mustaine says Megadeth members send ideas to management beforehand

See the statement.

Speaking about Megadeth's creative process, frontman Dave Mustaine revealed in an interview with an American radio station that the other band members submit their ideas to management before showing them to him. Mustaine explained the reason when questioned about the collaboration between David Ellefson and Kiko Loureiro:

“Everyone has good ideas. The problem is that there are too many good ideas. So, for me, I learned a long time ago that instead of risking our friendship and having problems between us, when they want to show a song, they send it to management and the record label. And then if they like it…”

Because, you know, wouldn't that be really bad? If they had a great song and I heard it on a busy day or when something stressful was happening, and they showed me a song and I didn't hear it properly, and that would be the end of it. That would be really bad, wouldn't it?

In an interview last week, Mustaine revealed that the band is expected to enter the studio for a new album later this year: "We're thinking November or December .

Megadeth's latest album, Dystopia, achieved their best chart position since Countdown To Extinction and earned the band a Grammy for Best Metal Performance with the title track.
