The news devastated the internet, and many musicians paid tribute to him, speaking about how important Stan Lee was to them and to the industry. Scott Ian, Corey Taylor , and Alice Cooper were some of the artists who spoke about the loss.

Scott Ian : “I don’t have words to describe what Stan meant to me. I can’t measure what his imagination meant and still means to my life. Everything I’ve ever done creatively has been influenced by ‘The Man,’ something that has been in my life for 50 years. In his words, ‘Nuff Said.’”

Kirk Hammett : “Stan Lee was a visionary and a pioneer. I owe him so much for shaping my childhood fantasy worlds, my appreciation for art on all levels, and for teaching me how to be human through his profound and wonderful stories. He will be missed.”

Corey Taylor : "Heartbroken. Thank you for making me believe in heroes."

Alice Cooper : “Besides being a hero in the world of comics, Stan was a lot of fun and great company. He was kind to his fans too – he knew what he meant to people and loved every minute of it.”

Rob Zombie : “I only had the chance to meet Stan 'The Man' once in my life, but it was fucking exciting. Marvel Comics was one of the best things about my childhood. Thank you for everything. What would we have done without you?”

Gene Simmons : “To Stan Lee: Thank you for making my childhood so much more interesting with your incredible characters. Thank you for inspiring me to dream big. Thank you for the Hulk, Thor, the Fantastic Four, and so many other characters. You will be greatly missed.”
