Last Wednesday, the 28th, the music world received the sad news of the death of bassist and vocalist Dusty Hill , from ZZ Top . Details about the cause of death have not yet been released, but ZZ Top used their Facebook page to state that the musician died in his sleep at his home in Texas.

“We are devastated by the news that our friend, Dusty Hill, passed away today in his sleep at his home in Houston, Texas. We, along with a legion of ZZ Top fans around the world, will miss his unwavering presence, his good nature, and his enduring commitment to providing a monumental foundation for 'The Top'. We will be eternally connected to that 'Blues Shuffle in C.' You will be greatly missed, my friend,” says the post signed by Frank and Billy.

Earlier this week, Dusty needed treatment for what appeared to be a "hip problem," but it's still unclear if this episode is related to the cause of his death.
