Without abandoning the band's musical DNA, with electronic elements, "Won't Stand Down" brings a heaviness that hasn't appeared in the group's tracks for a long time, justifying the comparisons to Korn made by the international press even before its release. In the video, lead singer Matt Bellamy appears terrifying, being taken in a wheelchair to a kind of dark experiment where it's hard to tell if he's a victim or some kind of cult leader, mentally controlling an army before undergoing a bizarre transformation.
