Muse has news about the band's new album, but fans need to decipher some mysteries before getting the long-awaited information. Everything indicates that the group released the tracklist for the project in a dystopian teaser released last Wednesday, the 9th.
In the cinematic video, the face of each band member is seen on enormous monuments, located in a dystopian desert. For some reason, there is a team of people working to remove the monuments, toppling each of the huge statues into the sea of sand.
With a chorus of "the will of the people" echoing in the video, the production may just be a preview of an upcoming clip, possibly continuing the narrative of the surprising "Won't Stand Down ," the band's first new song since the release of Simulation Theory (2018).
However, the most attentive fans have come up with some theories. As reported by NME , the scene of the band's busts lying in the desert is shown in the teaser in the proportions of an album cover, enough to fuel speculation about a preview of the artwork for Muse's new album.
Others believe they've found the tracklist for the new album. According to Popline , some internet users found the words "Ghosts," "Kill or be killed," "Will of the People," "Liberation," "Euphoria," "Die," and "Compliance" on the faces of the statues. Could it be? Watch below.
