The Brazilian band Mukeka di Rato , which celebrates 30 years of career in 2025, releases this Friday, the 16th, its ninth studio album, Generais de Fralda (2025). The new album features a dirtier and more aggressive sound, leaning towards the crust side of hardcore, and sharp lyrics, "without mincing words," as is already a trademark of the group.
With a political message, "always in the anti-fascist struggle," the songs address corruption, structural racism, the arms industry, precarious work, overuse of medication, and other contemporary issues.
Fepas (vocals and guitar), Brek (drums), Mozine (bass and vocals), and Paulista (guitar and vocals) recorded the 13 tracks of the album at Estúdio Tambor in Rio de Janeiro, produced by Rafael Ramos. The band also released the music video for the title track today, already available on YouTube:
