Jim Burns created one of MTV's most important series
The co-creator of the famous MTV Unplugged died at age 65 after suffering an accident. According to Billboard, Jim Burns was hit by a taxi while walking his dog on the streets of New York City, United States.
Alongside Robert Smallin, Burns created the series in 1989, and it became immortalized as one of the channel's greatest and most important shows, responsible for major acoustic performances such as the classic Nirvana concert in 1993.
Unplugged aired until 2009 and returned in September of that year with a performance by pop singer Shawn Mendes.
