Michelle Luppi , keyboardist for Whitesnake , has joined Mr. Big to assist Eric Martin with his vocals.

Currently, the band is on its final tour, The Big Finish Tour , which arrives in Brazil on April 26th. The first performance will take place in São Paulo, while the second is in Rio de Janeiro on the 28th.

Last Friday, the 22nd, Martin posted a note on his Instagram stories explaining the news: “Hey guys, Eric here… So, after these last few shows with my voice going in and out and struggling to keep it together (I won’t go into that… burnout, overwork, voodoo doll curses, etc.) I had a crazy idea that might work.”

“I’m bringing my dear friend and singer Michele Luppi (Whitesnake) to join me on stage for the next two shows so I can recharge. We’ll be duetting on most of the songs, including those on the album.”

"I don't know how this will work, but it's better than the alternatives and would certainly make me feel much better."

He continues: “I met Michele when he was the vocalist for a famous Mr. Big tribute band in the 90s (long before he joined Whitesnake as a keyboardist and backing vocalist). We shared the stage a few times in Italy. Michele is a great singer and one of the nicest guys in the business. If you don't know him yet, you'll love him.”

“We put all this together yesterday… the whole band is on board… Every now and then my crazy ideas spark… let’s rock!”, he concluded.

The first performance took place on the same day the vocalist's post was published. Check out videos of the performance:
