Guitarist Phil Campbell Motörhead bandmate , Lemmy Kilmister , struggle in his final years.
In an interview for the CatTales podcast , the musician said, “For the last two years, Lem wasn’t exactly himself,” said Phil. “He just wanted to keep going. You could see Lemmy getting a little older, because he was much older than the rest of us. But he was doing well – he was doing well. We just kept going.”
The guitarist clarifies that the band's decision to continue involved a change of pace to something slower, and Lemmy insisted on continuing and playing as long as he could, which Campbell admitted was difficult to watch him struggling in the state he was in.
