Motörhead 's cover David Bowie 's classic "Heroes" has surpassed 50 million views on YouTube.
The track was recorded during the sessions for the album Bad Magic (2015), the band's last album, and was released on the album Under Cover Lemmy Kilmister 's death , featuring Motörhead's versions of several songs.
The track was one of the last songs the band rehearsed and recorded together. The official music video mixes scenes of the band on stage with behind-the-scenes photos and personal archive footage of the members.
“He was very, very proud of this one. Not just because it turned out so good in the end, but because it was fun! That’s how projects like this should be: fun,” commented drummer Mikkey Dee about Lemmy’s opinion of the cover.
