Since 2020, May 8th has been celebrated as Motörhead . Last year, to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the iconic track "Ace of Espades ," the band released a special lyric video of the classic and made a filter with their official logo available on Instagram. In 2021, May 8th, which falls on this Saturday, will celebrate the 40th anniversary of the fantastic live album, No Sleep 'Til Hammersmith .
This special date will be dedicated to celebrating the power of Motörhead in live shows, and a special playlist has been created featuring the band's best live performances. You can access it here or at the end of this post.
Furthermore, the band promises, through its press office, a special release straight from Motörhead's vaults, as well as a unique quiz to test fans' knowledge. Fans are also invited to share their memories and stories about the band on the day of the celebration.
Finally, several exclusive merchandise items are now available on the official Motörhead website, in limited edition. A special No Sleep 'Til Hammersmith is also available for pre-order , containing a hardcover book with unpublished and rare photos, 4 CDs, a double A3 poster, a guitar pick, a sticker, a reproduction of the USA '81 tour pass, among other items.
