Motörhead cancels another tour

Lemmy talks about his health

Motörhead , Lemmy has been suffering from complications related to diabetes and bruising, which has caused the cancellation of several tours.

In a public statement, the band apologizes to fans and expresses that Lemmy is the one who most regrets the cancellations: “Lemmy feels the inconvenience for each and every ticket and travel plan made by all the fans. Having been a hard worker for over 50 years, it’s very unfortunate that he can’t take his place on the tour bus, but he knows his health must come first.”

In an interview with Rolling Stone this week, the Motörhead frontman explained the changes he had to make to his lifestyle: "There's nothing stranger than having everything you were suddenly taken away from you." Today, Lemmy has drastically reduced his daily alcohol consumption, as well as his smoking, which has been reduced to 1 or 2 cigarettes a day.

“I have to face it, it’s not fun at all. But it can’t be worse than dying, dying isn’t fun either ,” explains the bassist.
