Motörhead the 22nd, that to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the legendary Ace Of Spades , new deluxe editions of the classic will be available starting October 30th. Last year, also with BMG, the band had special releases for the 40th anniversary of Overkill and Bomber .
The album will be released in hardcover versions in CD and triple LP formats, featuring an unreleased concert from the Ace Up Your Sleeve , the story behind the album, and many previously unseen photos.
In addition, the album will be released as a box set, as a collector's edition of Ace Of Spades , with approximately 42 unreleased tracks from the remastered tapes of the album, the unreleased concert from the tour, the 10″ EP A Fistful Of Instrumentals with unreleased tracks from 1980, The Good, The Broke & The Ugly which is a double album of B-sides, outtakes and rare tracks, a DVD compilation of rare TV appearances from the 80s and an audio mix of the original album, and a limited edition 7″ of Ace Of Spades (Dutch), with an unreleased instrumental version on the B-side.
In addition, the box set includes several exclusive items for this release, such as The Ace Of Spades Story : a 40-page book telling the story of Ace Of Spades through previously unpublished interviews. Also included are the Ace Up Your Sleeve , the comic book The Motörhead Rock Commando , and a set of 5 dice that can be used to play the board game included in the box. All of this comes in a classic Wild West dynamite box, which can be seen below.
