The movie The Dirt and its complete soundtrack arrive on March 22nd
Mötley Crüe has announced the release of the soundtrack for The Dirt on March 22nd, with pre-orders already available. The album accompanies the upcoming Netflix film , The Dirt New York Times bestselling autobiography . The premiere is on March 22nd on Netflix worldwide.
The first single, “The Dirt (Est. 1981) (feat. Machine Gun Kelly )”, is now available on all digital platforms.
The Dirt is an uncensored story about sex, drugs, rock 'n roll, fame, and the high price of excess. Director Jeff Tremaine (co-creator of Jackass ) shows how Nikki Sixx ( Douglas Booth ), Mick Mars ( Iwan Rheon ), Tommy Lee ( Colson Baker ), and Vince Neil ( Daniel Webber ) took Mötley Crüe from obscurity to the world stage.
The 18-track soundtrack was mastered by Grammy winner Dave Donnelly . It features a collection of Mötley Crüe classics that highlight key moments from the new Netflix film. Bob Rock also contributed to the production, working on four new tracks exclusive to the film, including a cover of Madonna .
“During the filming of our movie, we were excited and inspired to write new music. Going back to the studio with Bob Rock only fueled our creativity. To me, the music sounds like classic Mötley Crüe, and the lyrics reflect the film and our lives,” said Nikki Sixx.
