Mötley Crüe sells music catalog to BMG for $150 million.

This is the label's largest single catalog acquisition since its founding in 2008.

Mötley Crüe has sold its entire music catalog to BMG for approximately US$150 million, or roughly R$843 million at the current exchange rate. The news was confirmed via a press release.

According to the document, this is the label's largest single catalog acquisition since its founding in 2008. With the new agreement, BMG now owns the rights to all of Mötley Crüe's recorded output, spanning the band's 40-year career.

The band commented on the news, saying: “It’s incredible to be collaborating with our new partners at BMG. Their extensive history of success in rock has made BMG the perfect home for our musical legacy, preserving and maintaining its growth, ensuring that we will always be at the top.”

The band's manager, Allen Kovac, expressed his satisfaction with the agreement: "After working side-by-side with BMG for over a decade, the relationship we've developed and the success we've achieved over the years made this transition very easy, entrusting them with this precious rock catalog."
