Mötley Crüe: Mick Mars retires from the stage and will not be coming to Brazil with the band.

The guitarist will no longer perform live, but is expected to remain in the band.

Mick Mars , guitarist for Mötley Crüe , has announced that he will be retiring from touring and will no longer perform with the band. The announcement was made via a statement to Variety .

The statement reads: “Mick Mars, co-founder and guitarist of the heavy metal band Mötley Crüe for the past 41 years, announced today that, due to his painful battle with Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS), he will no longer be able to tour with the band.”

"Mick will remain a member of the band, but he can no longer endure the rigors of touring. AS is an extremely painful and debilitating degenerative disease that affects the spine."

A replacement guitarist has not yet been announced, although there are rumors that John 5 will replace Mars.

Mötley Crüe will be touring Brazil in the first half of 2023 as part of a world tour with Def Leppard . See below for dates and venues.

Tickets for the performances have been available since 10 AM on the Eventim and will be released from 11 AM at the official box offices (no service fee), available for purchase directly at the stadiums where the performances take place in each state.

Purchases can be made in up to 5 interest-free installments with a credit card. All performances are rated for ages 16 and up, and minors aged 10 to 15 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

In Brazil, the groups will perform in three cities: São Paulo, on March 7th at Allianz Parque, with tickets starting at R$180; Curitiba, on March 9th at Estádio Couto Pereira, starting at R$195.00; and Porto Alegre, on March 11th at Arena do Grêmio, with options starting at R$190.
