Mötley Crüe will release a biopic on Netflix in March.

The Mötley Crüe biography will be called The Dirt – Confessions Of The World's Most Notorious Rock Band.

The film adaptation of the Mötley Crüe , The Dirt – Confessions Of The World's Most Notorious Rock Band, will be released on March 22, 2019. The film, directed by Jeff Tremaine of Jackass ' Bad Grandpa , was acquired by Netflix.

Lead singer Vince Neil revealed the date in a tweet. He wrote: “Wow!!! Just left the Netflix office. Saw the movie The Dirt !! Sensational!! Can’t wait for everyone to see it! Releases March 22nd!! Yea!!!”

Mötley Crüe recently recorded four new songs for the film. Bassist Nikki Sixx described the recordings as “real and raw. Everyone playing like crazy and the music is amazing,” he wrote on Twitter. “Producer Bob Rock brought the songs. Plus, we have a surprise that we’ll confirm that blew our minds.”

Daniel Webber ( The Punisher ) will play Neil, Douglas Booth will play Sixx, Machine Gun Kelly will play Tommy Lee , and Iwan Rheon ( Game of Thrones ) will play guitarist Mick Mars Actor-comedian Tony Cavalero portray the legend Ozzy Osbourne .
