Mötley Crüe announced their return to activity. The comeback happened 4 years after their farewell tour in December 2015.

At the time, the band had signed an agreement not to reunite. Now, an official website has confirmed the breaking of that agreement. Earlier, the group's official profile had shared a fan petition specifically requesting a reunion.

In a statement, the group claims that a new segment of fans is emerging due to the success of the biopic 'The Dirt', released by Netflix.

The text highlights that the band members finished their farewell tour and haven't spoken since. Contact was resumed after production of the film began.
