Crüe will release a final song before ending their activities

Interviewed at the Revolver Golden Gods awards, producer James Michael said that he was chosen by Mötley Crüe to record their last song. In January of this year, the band announced that they were preparing for their final tour before their retirement.

Michael revealed: “As you know, Crüe is preparing to wrap things up and we’ve been discussing doing one last song. There’s a lot of pressure to do it right, and I think we did. I’m recording drums with Tommy Lee tomorrow. It’s a great song. I think it’ll be a great way to go out in style .

In January, Nikki Sixx revealed that it was unlikely the band would record a full album before their farewell tour, and that an EP would be the more probable release. The band's final tour, Mötley Crüe's "Final Tour," will begin later this year.
