Mötley Crüe released the first official band photo featuring guitarist John 5 who replaced Mick Mars , now retired from performing.
Mick Mars has retired from performing due to his painful battle with Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS), a degenerative disease that is "extremely painful and debilitating, affecting the spine," according to the musician.
In a statement, Mötley Crüe addressed the departure of their longtime friend and announced his replacement, speaking of Mick Mars with great respect and admiration for the time the guitarist battled Ankylosing Spondylitis "for decades" to continue performing on stage.
“We will follow Mick’s wishes and proceed with the world tour in 2023 as planned. Undoubtedly, we would need an exceptional musician to fill Mick’s shoes, so we are very grateful that our friend, John 5, has agreed to join us. We’ll see you all on the road!”
John 5 will make his official stage debut with Mötley Crüe in two shows in Atlantic City, New Jersey, on February 10th and 11th. Remember that Mötley Crüe – now with John 5 – will be touring Brazil in the first half of 2023 as part of a world tour with Def Leppard . See below for dates and venues.

Tickets for the performances have been available since 10 AM on the Eventim and will be released from 11 AM at the official box offices (no service fee), available for purchase directly at the stadiums where the performances take place in each state.
Purchases can be made in up to 5 interest-free installments with a credit card. All performances are rated for ages 16 and up, and minors aged 10 to 15 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

In Brazil, the groups will perform in three cities: São Paulo, on March 7th at Allianz Parque, with tickets starting at R$180; Curitiba, on March 9th at Estádio Couto Pereira, starting at R$195.00; and Porto Alegre, on March 11th at Arena do Grêmio, with options starting at R$190.
