Mötley Crüe debuted their new lineup with John 5 replacing Mick Mars

Mötley Crüe and Def Leppard played their first show of 2023 on February 10th at the Hard Rock Live at Mark G. Etess Arena in Atlantic City. The performance is part of their joint tour, The World Tour, which will include a stop in Brazil in March.

The show was also Mötley Crüe's first performance with guitarist John 5 , who joined the band to replace Mick Mars in October 2022. According to Ultimate Classic Rock , John 5 was the "first musician to take the stage, asking the audience to make some noise before starting the riff of 'Wild Side'. During the show he wandered around the stage, adding new things to the performance and solos faithful to Mick Mars'."

Watch some fan-recorded videos from the Atlantic City performance at the end of the article.

The setlist featured the hits “Dr. Feelgood”, “Kickstart My Heart”, “Same Ol' Situation (SOS)” and “Don't Go Away Mad (Just Go Away)”. They also included “Wild Side,” “Girls, Girls, Girls,” “Too Fast for Love,” “Shout at the Devil” and “Live Wire.”

Def Leppard played “Hysteria,” “Pour Some Sugar on Me,” “Rock of Ages,” “Bringin' On the Heartbreak,” “Foolin',” “Let's Get Rocked,” and “Promises.” They also covered their entire discography to deliver a complete set.
