Band signs tour cessation document

Mötley Crüe officially announced yesterday their final tour and retirement from the band. To formalize the agreement, members signed a "cease and desist" document, and named their last tour "The Final Tour".

With over three decades of career and 80 million albums sold, Mötley Crüe said they decided to sign the contract so that the band could finish everything as a unit. Drummer Tommy Lee explains: “We always wanted to go out in style, and not have the band play in small venues with only 2 original members.”

Regarding continuing his musical career, vocalist Vince Neil said he has plans for the future: “I’ll miss playing with these guys, but I’m not going to stop playing Rock N’ Roll. I feel there are many exciting opportunities after Mötley Crüe.”

The tour will kick off in North America in July of this year, and will only visit international territories in 2015. The band has only revealed dates up to November of this year, and will announce international dates soon. Rumors indicate Alice Cooper will participate in some of the shows.

The band declined to reveal details of their final shows: "In this time of information overload, we'd like to keep some surprises secret for the Final Tour ," said bassist Nikki Sixx.
