On November 30, 2024, four bands came together at Allianz Parque, delivering vibrant and undeniably energetic performances with powerful music that thrilled the fans.
The Plot In You , Spiritbox , Motionless In White , and the most anticipated act of the occasion, Bring Me The Horizon , were in São Paulo, more specifically at Allianz Parque, last Saturday.
The Plot In You
Responsible for kicking off the afternoon, The Plot In You delivered a short show, marked by speed and melody, with pulsating drum lines and prominent vocals.
Vocalist Landon Tawers is definitely a standout. Alternating between cleaner, clearer parts and raspy screams, he delivers a great performance. This is evident in tracks like "Divide" and "Pretend," the latter featuring sections where the musician has considerable control over his voice.
In comparison, during some parts of "Paradigm" and "THE ONE YOU LOVED," she seemed almost to break down.
Another great moment for the band was during the performance of "Forgotten," when everyone seemed very integrated, playing and functioning very well. The song even got a crowdsurfing moment from a fan in the audience.
With the closing song “FEEL NOTHING” and guaranteeing a performance filled with emotion and gratitude, The Plot In You's show thrilled the audience, who engaged with the band, especially during their best-known songs, making it an excellent way to start the event.
Spiritbox
The second band to perform was Spiritbox. The group followed in the same good vein as its predecessor and won over the audience right from the start.
“Jaded” was a sample of what vocalist Courtney LaPlante is capable of. With a beautiful and melodic voice, the track also features a captivating guitar riff, which only complements the rest of the song, making it excellent to listen to live.
When talking about Spiritbox, it's impossible not to highlight LaPlante. His stage presence is impressive, and his powerful voice is what sets the band apart.
“Angel Eyes” and “Soft Spine” demonstrate this, when she truly sings with all her might.
Although the entire band stands out and has excellent moments, special mention should be made of drummer Zeca Rose , responsible for guiding the band, speeding up when necessary and maintaining a smooth, yet still present, rhythm when needed.
Perhaps one of the best moments of the show was the performance of "Hurt You." The skillful alternation between softness and power is pleasing and demonstrates, once again, the vocalist's ability to make quick changes while singing.
The audience joined Spiritbox and put on a real show during "Circle With Me," with fans singing along with the band in a powerful and emotional display.
And that perfectly defines what the band's show in São Paulo was like. A mix of speed and stage presence, and at the same time, a strong connection with the fans.
Motionless In White
Motionless In White began their performance in a São Paulo already at nightfall, at 7:20 PM, to a very enthusiastic audience, with flashlights lit and cell phones at the ready.
“Meltdown” was responsible for kicking off the setlist, and a spoiler of what the group's performance would be like.
The chemistry between the band is almost palpable, and songs like "Sign Of Life" prove it very well.
Chris Motionless 's voice sounds crystal clear, flawless and without errors, just like in "Thoughts & Prayers," which once again features the vocalist in a fast and heavy track.
Motionless In White's performance followed this line. Intense songs that were able to captivate the audience.
Even in ballads, such as the thrilling "Masterpiece," the band managed to maintain considerable power and undeniable presence.
Several tracks – such as “Slaughterhouse” – greatly excited the fans, who sang along with the band. The aforementioned song, in particular, evoked celebrations as soon as it was announced.
“Werewolf” and “Abigail” were good choices on the setlist and, like the others, were excellently performed, with the drums pulsating.
Motionless In White kept the audience attentive and engaged throughout their show, and this was quite evident during "Reincarnate," when the vocalist asked the fans to jump – and they did so without question. Another similar moment occurred during the performance of "Another Life," which lit up Allianz Parque.
The cover version of "Somebody Told Me" was responsible for getting the audience dancing. Even those unfamiliar with Motionless In White tend to recognize a classic like this, and the band's version is far more exciting than the original.
A strong contender for best show of the night, Motionless In White managed to blend interaction, excellent setlist selection, and technical skill in performing the songs, making the band's long-awaited return a memorable occasion.
