If there's one time to prove the importance of music in our lives, it's during this quarantine, right?

With this in mind, Eduardo and Matt Cavina , from Madre Sun , are preparing some exclusive performances for Wikimetal directly from their homes.

In the first Quarantine Session, the musicians played original songs, "Our Way" and "Black River," which will be on the band's upcoming EP, scheduled for release in June.

Eduardo and Matt Cavina play "Our Way" and "Black River." The songs are on the band's EP, scheduled for release in June. Behind (almost) every song, there's a story. This is the case with "Black River" and "Our Way." As many know (and many will know now), the Cavina brothers were born in São José do Rio Preto. The song "Black River" is not only a reference to the city, known simply as "Rio Preto," but also recalls the boys' childhood in the city. "Our Way," a single that will also be on Madre Sun's upcoming EP, is about letting go of what little you have, even if that "little" is "everything." The idea for the track came from a conversation between Matt and his wife, and how they both had to leave behind what they had to move to Europe. For their second performance, the brothers decided to play a cover, but definitely not just any cover. It was the classic "Tiny Dancer" by Sir Elton John , and the result couldn't have been more incredible.
