Marcus D'Angelo , vocalist and guitarist of Claustrofobia , answered in an interview with Wikimetal whether Brazilian metal bands are more valued abroad than in their own country. The musician also commented on the band's reception in the United States, where they are currently based.

Regarding the issue of being valued, the musician was cautious not to "radicalize," acknowledging that even when fans pay a lot to see international bands and don't support their own country's scene, there are valid reasons for such behavior. "You can't lose them, they're the creators of the scene," he said.

Regarding cultural differences, Marcus comments that he is approached on the street simply because of his style, with long hair and tattoos, and people show admiration when they learn about his profession.

“There is a difference; here, art has a little more value. Brazil is somewhat lost, it has always been a bit behind because everything arrived a little later, which is normal, it's a historical factor, but this thing about education and culture, that makes a difference in people's lives,” he added.
