On May 20th, São Paulo will be rocking with another edition of the Mosh Metal Fest , featuring the bands Incantation (USA), Dorsal Atlântica , The Troops Of Doom , Vazio , and O Cara do Metal .
The festival takes place at Teatro Mars, in Bela Vista. Tickets are on sale Bilheto website . Mosh Metal Fest is produced by Mosh Productions .
About the bands
Formed in 1989 in New Jersey, USA, Incantation quickly distinguished itself by playing brutal Death Metal with very dark themes about occultism. Their most recent studio album is Sect Of Vile Divinities , from 2020. It's impossible not to mention some gems from their discography, such as Onward to Golgotha (1992), Mortal Throne of Nazarene (1994), Upon the Throne of Apocalypse (1995), and Vanquish in Vengeance (2012). Incantation's lineup includes John McEntee (vocals and guitar), Luke Shively (guitar), Chuck Sherwood (bass), and Charles Koryn (drums).
The legendary Dorsal Atlântica, currently playing "hand-picked" shows, is promoting their acclaimed album Pandemia (2021). It's impossible not to mention their classics Antes do Fim (1986) and Dividir & Conquistar (1988). Vocalist and guitarist Carlos Lopes is one of the most influential metal musicians in Brazil – Max Cavalera never tired of saying that he decided to form Sepultura after seeing a Dorsal Atlântica show.
The Troops Of Doom is another big name from Brazil, featuring Jairo Guedz (guitar), formerly of Sepultura and The Mist , Marcelo Vasco (guitar and renowned illustrator), Alex Kaffer (bass and vocals), and Alexandre Oliveira (drums). They have the acclaimed debut album Antichrist Reborn (2022), as well as two EPs; The Rise of Heresy (2020) and The Absence of Light (2021). The band recently toured South America alongside I Am Morbid and received much praise.
Currently, the band Vazio is one of the biggest names in Brazilian Black Metal, thanks to their debut album, Eterno Aeon Obscuro (2020), and their highly acclaimed live performances. The quartet is working on their second album, which should be released soon.
Completely geared towards the new generation and their digital language, the band O Cara do Metal – created by Ian Garbinato – features songs that address topics such as digital cancellation, the empowerment of female metal fans, narratives of historical tales from the "Bahai Faith," a song created together with fans in a TikTok live stream, and even more traditional English-language metal.
