Morrissey canceled two shows scheduled for September 19th and 20th in the United States after receiving a death threat.

After Morrissey headlined the CityFolk in Ottawa, Canada, on Friday, September 12, reports began to surface of an alleged death threat against him.

According to Ottawa Citizen , court documents allege that a threat was posted on the social network Bluesky on September 4th, through an account called in the head one hundred thousand times a day".

The post read: “Steven Patrick Morrissey, when you perform at TD Place here in Ottawa next week, on the evening of September 12, 2025, around 9pm, I will be in the audience and will attempt to shoot you multiple times and kill you with a very large gun that I possess illegally.”.

According to the Ottawa Citizen , police arrested Noah Castellano in connection with the incident. He was later released on bail of CAD$5,000 (approximately R$3,630 at the current exchange rate). Noah Castellano refused to provide further details about the accusation, saying only, "I'm not interested."

Following the incident, Morrissey cancelled two shows. One was scheduled for last Friday, the 19th, at the Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut. The other was to take place this Saturday, the 20th, at the MGM Music Hall in Boston.

Morrissey in Brazil

The former lead singer of The Smiths is coming to Brazil for a single show in São Paulo on November 12th, at Espaço Unimed.

Tickets will go on sale to the general public starting this Friday, June 13th, at 10 AM on the Livepass website . The event is a Move Concerts .
