Fernando Ribeiro created Moonspell in 1992
Fernando Ribeiro , vocalist of the Portuguese band Moonspell , has launched Alma Mater Books & Records, where he will release books and albums.
“Even though I enjoy what I do with Moonspell, I’ve always been drawn to doing other things. Many of my idols, like Quorthon from Bathory and Tom Gabriel Fischer, have always had other roles, which I found inspiring. Put the two things I love most together? Good, meaningful music and excellent literature—that’s my plan with Alma Mater,” said Ribeiro.
“Moonspell’s fight for quality must be reflected in the brand’s work, and we are doing our best to make Alma Mater Books & Records a solid and lasting label, looking to the future by signing Portuguese talents, providing the investment and knowledge they need.”.
