The Portuguese band Moonspell has announced that they will release their 13th studio album, The Hermitage, on February 26, 2021. A preview of what's to come was released with a lyric video for the album's first single, "The Greater Good".

According to vocalist Fernando Ribeiro , the song addresses the benefits of living in a community, "of doing your best and what is right." The video features a script written by the singer that exposes the contrast in human priorities.
