The Rio de Janeiro-based band Montanee , present in the independent scene since 2016, traveled throughout the west coast of the United States on a mini-tour to present alternative versions of their songs. Now, the group moves on to the next phase of their career: the release of their first EP.

The album, to be released soon, will feature some of the tracks performed by the band from Rio de Janeiro on their American tour. “Burning Man” and “Keep Falling” will be joined by the previously unreleased “Weak Like a Needle,” which received a music video this Friday, the 11th, exclusively on Wikimetal .

Contrary to what the name suggests, the song showcases the quartet's strength in a heavy and edgy performance. With touches of indie, stoner, and post-punk, "Weak Like a Needle" reveals a pulsating and energetic Montanee. "The video is a visual example of what it's like to play and listen to this song (...) 'Weak Like A Needle' is, simply, rock and roll," says drummer Teo Kligerman .

Besides him, Montanee is Felipe Areias (vocals and guitar), Raphael Cardoso (bass) and Pedro Domicio (guitar). Watch the music video for “Weak Like a Needle” below and follow the band from Rio de Janeiro on social media – Instagram and Facebook .

“Weak Like a Needle” Lyrics:

All the, the sweat on your hands
Has turned into oceans the sand
And built this whole world, made us strong
Who thought we could live for so long?

I thought I was wrong
So wrong, but I was right
I don't need no right
I just do it
I thought I was strong
So strong, but I weak like a needle
Weak like a needle

All those, those tears in your eyes
Has turned into oceans the lies
We used to believe for so long
Cause no one wants to be wrong
But now what's the right and the wrong?

I thought I was wrong
So wrong, but I was right
I don't need no right
I just do it
I thought I was strong
So strong, but I weak like a needle
Weak like a needle

Weak, weak like a needle
Weak like a needle
Weak like a needle
