The Rio de Janeiro-based group Montanee released the music video for their latest single, "Brooklyn Sleeps," featuring Tyler Bryant ( Tyler Bryant and the Shakedown ).
The video is a record of the production process of the band's upcoming EP, which will be released in the second half of 2024. The recording took place at Studio G in New York, with production by Joel Hamilton, a renowned producer with 8 Grammy nominations who has worked with names such as The Black Keys, Paul McCartney, Norah Jones , and Highly Suspect.
Directed by vocalist and guitarist Felipe Areias , the music video alternates between city scenes and the interior of the studio. The cinematography was by João Carlos Rocha .
“I can’t imagine a better setting for recording our second EP. From the Brooklyn setting in New York, to the incredible structure of Studio G, culminating in the production by Joel Hamilton,” says Felipe.
"Those were incredible days, we produced like never before, we raised the level of our music and we had a lot of fun, we tried to convey all those feelings in the 'Brooklyn Sleeps' music video."
In addition to “Brooklyn Sleeps”, the Recalling Dreams will also include the single “Gray” and other songs with influences from artists such as Foo Fighters, Arctic Monkeys, Nothing But Thieves, Royal Blood and more.
Besides Felipe, Montanee is composed of Teo Kligerman (drums) and Raphael Moraes (bass and guitar).
